How it works
You’ll answer a short set of questions about everyday speaking at work - meetings, being asked for an opinion, speaking when attention is on you.
There’s no scoring and no right answers.
The aim is simply to notice what tends to happen for you when you feel put on the spot or pressured.
At the end, you’ll see which of the three speaking patterns below you tend to fall into, and what can help. Most people recognise themselves in more than one. This simply highlights the pattern that appears for you most often.

preparing vs speaking live
How much you rely on preparation and what happens when you don’t have it.
Speaking feels manageable when you’ve prepared, but harder when things happen in real time.

Thinking quietly vs thinking out loud
Where your thinking happens.
You may think clearly internally, but find it harder to speak as ideas are forming.

when attention turns to you
What happens once the spotlight is on you.
Even when you know what you want to say, pressure can make speaking feel harder.
